Cineyug and Sony Entertainment Television join hands for a mega dance talent hunt which will cover all six regions of India...


After the super success of Dance India Dance on Zee TV, Sony Entertainment Television is coming up with a big show which will have the popular names of Bollywood taking part. 

Cineyug Entertainment and Sony join hands to give the audience the mega dance talent hunt show 'Dance Premier League' which will start in the month of October. 

According to our source, "Auditions for the show will begin from next week. In total, there will be six zones (regional) participating in the show. Shiamak Davar has been finalized as the Guru who who will be giving a tip or two to the contestants. Big names are being considered as judges for the show. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit have been approached to judge the show. Both the dancing greats are trying to work out their dates". 

"Sara Khan, the Bidaai girl will most likely host the show. Eijaz Khan has also been approached as the other host on the show", adds our source. 

We tried getting a confirmation from the channel on the same, but they remained unavailable for comments. 

When called Sara Khan, she refused to be part of the show. We tried calling Eijaz, but he remained unavailable for comments. 

If the buzz is to be believed, this show might incorporate a global voting process, open to viewers outside India too, along with Indian audiences......

This show really have a potential to rock......

Ram Kapoor endorses Eco-friendly Ganpati .....

Ram Kapoor recently attended a Ganpati Mandap where the idol was made of eco-friendly materials which even when submerged in water does not give way for  pollution......

After being there to give moral support for his surrogate 'sister' Rakhi Sawant during her swayamvar, Ram Kapoor has now taken up another cause- that of environmental friendliness. Ram Kapoor sounded like Obama during his rally days as the key word of his short address to media was  'change'. 

Ram said, "Change is always welcome. And even God will only wish that change happens and the society and people grow." He further added, "Change is good, but, change for the better is even better."

He also went on to talk about the eco-friendly Ganpati that they have placed in their shoot spot. 

Ram also spoke about the problems that arise between parents and children due to the generation gap. He said, "Parents nowadays face many problems because their children find it hard to understand them, their difficulties and problems." 

Inevitably he went on talk about Basera, his new show on NDTV Imagine that deals with the issue of indifferent off springs. Ram said, "We have seen a lot of saas-bahu shows. So now its time to watch Basera, which deals with problems faced by mothers and fathers."

Basera is aired at 9:30 pm all through weekdays on NDTV Imagine .....

Pati Patni Aur Woh on Imagine

After the success of Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, NDTV Imagine is coming up with yet another unique show called Pati Patni Aur Woh. The show is being produced by BBC and is a desi version of international show Baby Borrowers.
This show will isolate unique celebrity couples from their glamorous lives, and thrust them into the real world, where they will become parents
Taking on parenting challenge are Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, the idol jodi of Ram Sita. On the other hand there is another couple from the TV world who is happily married since years, Shilpa and Apoorva Agnihotri.
Then the show also has recently engaged couple, who got hitched on television, Rakhi Sawant and Elesh Parujanwala. There is newly wedded couple, the favorite bahu and beta of television, Juhi and Sachin Shroff. Last but not the least we have Gaurav Chopra and Mouni Roy.
In this show, the couple will go through the challenging, frustrating but rewarding experience of parenthood from infancy to adolescence. The couple will be spending an entire month in a closed environment, monitored by cameras 24X7, which will capture their journey on new life discovery as first time parents.
Their journey will be divided in stages.
Pregnancy: Women will be made to wear empathy bellies similar to that of an 8 months pregnant woman, and will have to attend pre-natal classes.
Infants: A new born baby will be handed to them and they have to take care of their each and every need.
Toddlers: They come in next with their own sets of demand and tantrums.
Pre-teens and Teenagers: These are the rebellious years when parents need to learn how to discipline them.
The Elderly: Here the couple will need to show the maturity and understanding in dealing with them.
The show is of 30 days and will be aired by the end of Diwali. The shooting of the show is yet to start. There are no winners and eliminations during the show, or the public sms voting.
So get ready to see your favorite actor as they deal with their parenting skills.

Talented actress Poonam Gulati will essay a very important role in NDTV Imagine's Meera, produced by Sagar Pictures..


Talented actress Poonam Gulati who played Shubhra in Saat Phere and is presently seen in Sahara One's Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki will be essaying a very important role in NDTV Imagine's new show Meera, produced by Sagar Pictures. 

Talking about her role in the show, Poonam says, "I play the character of Prayukta who is important to the story line, and has a negative shade to portray. She is very close to the little girl Meera (Aashika Bhatia). I can't talk much about the relationship they share, but I will be the one who influences Meera. Prayukta's entry will change Meera's life altogether". 

"My entry will be around the 15th episode, where the Janmashtami celebrations are on. I will be seen wearing heavy jewellery, and the whole look is different", adds Poonam. 

Apart from Poonam, noted actor Ravi Jhankal will be seen playing Meera's grandfather in the show. Ravi played the popular character of Munni Bhai in Shyam Benegal's film Welcome to Sajjanpur.

It's birthday time for the leads of Zee's Chhoti Bahu, Avinash Sachdev and Rubina Dilaik, and this puts them in total party mood......

The protagonists of ZeeTV's very popular show Chhoti Bahu, Avinash Sachdev and Rubina Dilaik share an amazing on screen as well as off screen chemistry. Also, an interesting fact is that they both celebrate their birthdays in the month of August. While Avinash's birthday falls on 22nd August, Rubina celebrates her birthday on 26th August. 

We talked to Avinash who said, "In fact, it is not just me and Rubina, but many in our unit have their birth dates falling in the month of August. So this month has us in a total party mood". 

Ask him about his birthday party, and the actor states, "My friends from Baroda had come over to Mumbai; they gave me a surprise birthday party. They had also invited my co-stars and unit members. We had a gala time, and it was a great party. I then went on a drive with them to Lonavla and partied hard again". 

The actor received many memorable gifts from his near and dear ones. But the one gift that surprised him a lot came from one of his fans based in Toronto, Canada. "I received a jacket from a fan named Harpreet who is in Toronto. It was an amazing feeling, which I cannot express", states Avinash with the thrill clearly visible on his face. 

"I also got a blazer and a Pathani suit from my co-stars. Also, I gifted myself a brand new car, a black Tata Safari", he states further. 

On the preparations for today's party on the occasion of Rubina's birthday, Avinash quips, "We are shooting cut-to-cut. So there is no time to party. However, we had a nice cake cutting session last night, and we plan to party tonight after our pack-up time". 

Quiz him on the gift he will be giving Rubina tonight, and he says, "A big teddy bear, that's what she really loves".

Tough time for wild card entrants in L'il Champs..

Govinda and David Dhawan grace the sets of L'il Champs, while the wild card entrants face the heat this week..



After the elimination of Abhijeet Srivastav last week, it's the turn of yet another girl to bow out of Zee's SaReGaMaPa L'il Champs. 

According to our source, "Wild card entrant Shrishti Bhandari could not prove to be competition enough to the other contestants, and was eliminated this week as she got the least number of votes. Along with her, Hemant Brijwasi and Rahul Dutta found themselves in the danger zone". 

An interesting fact was that all the three candidates who were in the danger zone happened to be Wild card entrants, the only difference being that Shrishti and Rahul were new to the contest, while Hemant was brought back thro wild card from the already eliminated contestants. 

The celebrity guests for this week were the fabulous combination of many comic hits, Govinda and director David Dhawan. They had graced the sets to promote their upcoming film 'Do Knot Disturb'. Dupatta woes for Basera unit!!

While shooting a car sequence on the busy roads of Powai between Amit Jain and Priya Bhatija for Imagine's Basera, the crew had a tough time managing the passers-by...


Recently Amit Jain and Priya Bhatija who essay the roles of Shantanu Mehrotra and Nandini Parikh respectively in NDTV Imagine's Basera were shooting a car sequence on the busy roads of Powai. 

The scene required Priya to float her dupatta outside the running car, and Amit Jain traveling in another car on spotting the dupatta had to tell the girl about this when their cars stopped at the traffic signal. This cute scene marked the first meeting of Nandini and Shantanu in the show wherein they both fall for each other at first sight.

However, the entire crew found it very difficult to shoot this particular car sequence. According to our source, "The problem was that this car sequence was happening in broad day light on the busy roads of Powai. Every time Priya's car would take off with her dupatta protruding outside the car, a group of onlookers and passers-by used to wave to the car and indicate about the dupatta. The unit had to go in for many a retakes as this happened every time the car got on the move".

We talked to Amit Jain who tells us more about the hilarious incident. "The passers-by ended up stopping the car and uttering my words (smiles). In fact, I was the one who had to tell the girl that her dupatta is protruding outside the car. It took us a long time to finish this sequence, but the scene came out beautifully and all liked it".  

Basera has been getting a good response in its first week, and to pray for the success of the show, Amit Jain and Priya Bhatija plan to visit a lot of Ganpati mandals, including Siddhivinayak. "I thank Sagar Arts and NDTV Imagine for giving me this show. We plan to gather a big group of co-stars from Basera unit and will offer our prayers at the mandals to pray for the show's success", quips Amit.

Sreepradha makes a comeback to TV with Koi Aane Ko Hai..

Sreepradha, who has been part of many horror films and serials on Doordarshan will now be seen in Koi Aane Ko Hai's story featuring Nauman and Salman...


The scariest story of Balaji Telefilms' Koi Aane Ko Hai on COLORS will see the comeback of popular actress Sreepradha to television!!

Sreepradha was earlier seen in many Hindi horror movies, and has also been part of daily soaps on Doordarshan like Sansar, Aparajita, Waqt Ki Raftar etc. 

The actress is all set to play a very important role in the next story of Koi Aane Ko Hai featuring the twins Nauman and Salman Sait. 

Confirming this news, Vikas Goopta, Creative Director said, "Yes, Sreepradha is making a comeback to television with Balaji's Koi Aane Ko Hai. She is a fantastic actor, and has been part of many horror films in the past. This will be her first horror show on television. And above all, she is a big fan of Koi Aane Ko Hai". 

We talked to actress Sreepradha who talked about her role. "I play the character of Vithamma, who belongs to a South Indian family. She is a respected lady in the village, and is very powerful too. She loves her son and daughter-in-law very much. Her daughter-in-law gets pregnant after many years and delivers twins, of which one kid is evil. Vithamma will be the main person who will go on to fight against this evil to protect her family". 

As reported earlier, the role of the kids' mother and the daughter-in-law of the house will be played by Mitika Sharma of Santaan fame. 

This story of Koi Aane Ko Hai was supposed to start from 28th August, but will now open on 29th August instead.

New entry in Bidaai......

Star Plus' Bidaai will see the entry of Indrajeet's Bua who has all the answers to the mystery clouding the Rajvansh house..


Star Plus and Rajan Shahi's Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai is reaching its anti-climax as regards to the mystery clouding the reason behind Dadaji's death, and Alekh's troubled past. 

The present track has Ranveer (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Sadhana (Sara Khan) moving ahead in their mission by catching hold of each and every clue they have been getting. One such clue will ultimately lead them to Indrajeet Rajvansh's (Avinash Wadhawan) Bua, who will enter the story line as the very important person who has all answers to the questions raised by Ranveer and Sadhana. 

According to our source, "The role of the Bua will be played by Sulekshna Sekhri who was earlier seen playing the role of Teji Nani in Star Plus' Grihasti. The lady has an important yet lovable role to play, and she will be a precursor to solving the entire mystery". 

We called actress Sulkeshna who confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am going to play a Bua's character in the show. It is a very interesting character. However, I cannot reveal anything on the track. You need to wait and watch". 

The actress was also seen in Sahara One's Doli Saja Ke.

We tried calling Producer Rajan Shahi, but he remained unavailable for comments.

The coming episodes, as reported by Telly Buzz will see Ranveer and Ragini's reunion, which will be followed by the big revelation that will happen in the Rajvansh family.

Surprise Elimination in Iss Jungle tonight..

The Grand Finale of Iss Jungle is fast approaching, and keeping this in mind there will be a surprise elimination happening tonight in the Sony show..


We have seen lot many wild card entries in Sony's Iss Jungle, but tonight the audience will get to see a surprise elimination from the show.. 

According to our source, "The contestants were taken aback when the anchors came and announced that there will be a surprise elimination happening. And to make things worse, they gave out the names of the contestants who were in the bottom two, which read Marc Robinson and Anaida". 

"In the Maha Jungle Challenge, Marc and Anaida were given a task similar to Aman's monkey sh** task. However, Marc could not perform well due to his bad back and did not collect any star. On the other hand, Anaida too struggled to overcome this task, but somehow managed to grab just one star, and thus won the Challenge", adds our source. 

This surprise elimination came about because the channel and production house are hard pressed for time. "The Grand Finale of Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao will be aired on September 5th, and this clearly indicates that they are in a hurry to eliminate as many contestants as possible so that they get their finalists on time. This Friday will as usual see another elimination", further states our source. 

Well, just as we thought that Marc might be a tough nut to crack in the show, we see him getting out of the show. Watch this surprise elimination of Marc tonight on Iss Jungle..

It’s time for Salsa and Waltz in NDTV Imagine’s Basera…....

Fasten your seat belts, as NDTV Imagine's Basera, produced By Sagar Arts takes you on a musical and fun-filled ride of Salsa and Waltz!! 

The sets were fabulous, the ambiance was awesome, and there they were, the famous trio of Amit Jain who plays Shantanu Mehrotra, Priya Bhatija aka Nandini Parikh and Susanna ( Nandini's sister, Ujji) performing on the Salsa and Waltz. Choreographing them and monitoring their steps was Tina Sachdev, from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa fame. 

According to our source, "Amit Jain performed the Salsa with Susanna while he had a very close and intimate dance with Priya Bhatija on the Waltz format. The steps for the latter were breath taking, very romantic and close held too. The actors did not get any time to rehearse for the dance sequences. They hardly managed to get one and hour hours of rehearsals, but the entire sequence came out very well". 

"Susanna and Priya had great costumes for the occasion and looked gorgeous. In fact, Susanna was such a sport that she ignored her new shoe bites on her legs which started to bleed, and continued with her shoot. The actors were at ease and performed to the 'T'", adds our source. 

The high light of the entire dance sequence was the sweet little kiss that Shantanu aka Amit Jain gives on Nandini aka Priya's neck, which gave a new meaning to their silent love story portrayed so far in the show. For the uninitiated, Shantanu and Nandini have literally fallen for each other at the very first sight, and this Waltz act will only take their love story to another level. 

Says Amit Jain, "I was very nervous with people around, and many channels covering the shoot of the dance sequence. I have got married four times on screen before, but kissing a girl before so many, was a first experience for me. But thank God, all went well as Priya and I have become very good buddies (smiles)". 

Priya Bhatija who was looking simply beautiful in the white colored tube gown with back lift states, "It was a very nice experience altogether. The ambience of the entire place was fabulous, and the dance sequences came out very well". 

As per our source, "A Dandiya sequence will be shown this week in Basera which will be followed by this Salsa and Waltz act the coming week".
